
Riyadh/Saudi Arabia – Saudi Arabia said it was closely following the current events in Afghanistan, and express its hope that the situation would stabilize as soon as possible.
The Council of Ministers also affirmed its support for the Afghan people, during a weekly cabinet meeting chaired remotely by King Salman from NEOM.
At the beginning of the session, the king briefed the ministers on the content of a letter he had to Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al – Ahmed Al – Jaber Al – Sabah. He also briefed them on his phone call with Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboune, where he affirmed the Kingdom’s support for Algeria in its efforts to battle the fires that have engulfed a number of regions, and his directive to send urgent humanitarian aid to relieve those who have been affected.
The cabinet that reviewed a number of reports on regional and international developments, and reiterated the Kingdom’s first position in support of the Yemeni people and their legitimate government, and development, and stops violations by the Houthi militia, which disrupt all political solutions to end the war.
