CORONAVIRUS ALERT | UAE Reports 3,977 New Coronavirus Cases

DUBAI – The UAE on Wednesday reported 3,977 new coronavirus cases, the highest daily figure since the first infection was reported in the country, pushing the caseload to 313,626.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention also announced 12 COVID-19 related deaths overnight, bringing the death toll to 878, a report from state news agency WAM said.

Health authorities have conducted 173,975 additional COVID-19 tests, the report added.

The ministry stresses ‘its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out necessary treatment’.

Meanwhile, an additional 4,075 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 289,276.
