RIYADH | SAUDI ARABIA – – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud will inaugurate on Wednesday the eight session of the Shura Council.
He will deliver an address on the occasion to tackle various domestic and foreign policies. The speech will be delivered virtually due to the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic.
The speaker of the Council, and members who were recently appointed by a Royal Order, will take oath before the King Salman.
Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh said the King’s speech will serve as the road map for the council and its members. They will base their work on his assessment of affairs to make wise rulings that help improve the work of the government and its institutions.
The speech will come at a ‘very important time’ and is being anticipated by political and economic circles given King Salman’s major impact on regional and international affairs and the Kingdom’s standing in the world and presidency of the G20 for 2020, he added.
