CORONAVIRUS ALERT | Number Of COVID-19 recoveries Rises To 31,634 in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH | SAUDI ARABIA – Saudi Arabia on Tuesday recorded a rise in the number of patients who have recovered from COVID-19 to 31,634, up from 28,748 recorded a day earlier.

Total recoveries have surpassed the number of active cases, which stands at 27,891. Of the total cases, 215 are in critical condition.

In the daily press briefing, Health Ministry spokesman Dr. Mohammed Al-Abd Al-Aly stressed the importance of reveling on reliable sources of information about COVID-19.

He said the website www.covid19awareness.sa launched by the ministry, ‘Has information for each group and segment of society. Everyone can benefit from it, researchers and experts as well. It will hopefully answer any question you have about COVID-19’.

The number of COVID-19 cases appears to be slowing down in Saudi Arabia. Highlighting the proactive measures taken by the Kingdom, Al-Aly said health authorities have conducted 618,084 screening tests.

With nine fatalities the death toll has increased to 329. The latest fatalities were reported in Makkah, Riyadh and Dammam among people aged 42-74 suffering from chronic illnesses.
