Discussion focused on bilateral relations and the latest regional and international developments.
He later met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, later held talks with King Abdullah.
King Abdullah and Modi are in the Kingdom to addend the Future Investment Initiative (FII) that kicked off in the Saudi capital earlier on Tuesday.
Numerous world leaders and policymakers are attending the landmark event.
Modi was later received by Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman to discuss energy cooperation.
